So, we have landed in 2026. The last year was a year with ups and downs health wise. I was not very active on the radio front; hopefully this new year will change that. I want to erect my antenna on the roof permanently, so I can be active again on the HF bands. Some things have to be improved on the roof before this can happen. Hopefully, we will have good weather soon and I can do the necessary chores.

I also want to be more active with photography. Last year I visited a few places, which I liked doing, but shooting the photos themselves, are more point-and-click to be honest. No real plan, just fast shooting. I’m thinking about going a couple of times to the Drunense Duinen in Holland and look carefully around me to find good spots to take pictures. From videos I have been viewing the last couple of days, I understand it’s better to visit places more than once and invest time in finding good compositions. As the Drunense Duinen look quite different from other places in The Netherlands, I would like to try this out there.

At this moment we are on holiday in the Gran Canaries. Early next week we fly back and I’ll still have a few days left of my holiday. My plan is to visit the DD then.

I also hope to visit Austria this year with my parents and Michel. I would love to photograph over there, with all these great sights.

Furthermore I would like to take the year day by day. Healthwise every day can be different from the day before, so no planning to much ahead for this year. Stay positive and focussed. I also have made plans with my health coach to do more sports this year and to loose some kilos. Not too much, as I look unhealthy when I’m below 90 kg, but the 99 I weigh now are too much to my taste. And I hope to gather energy from doing more sports. When deciding the sports I want to do, I’m thinking about going to the gym again. I like that the most from all the things I’ve done and I would like very much to look a bit more in shape this year. Michel also has his resolutions for the beginning of this year and he wants to join me in eating healthier and going to the gym. The more the merrier, so I’m grateful he wants to do this with me.

These are the things which are keeping me busy this last couple of days. More will follow soon, I guess!
